"It's hard to describe the wonder of this beautiful home appearing amid Zumberak's picturesque hills after traveling a challenging road to reach it. The host calls herself Cinderella for transforming this once abandoned stone and wood building into the perfect getaway. Our stay reminded me of a spread in National Geographic, where we met the neighbor's chickens whose eggs we ate, gave milk to a lamb who lost her mother, and drank crystal clear water from a nearby spring. We saw nature's bounty up close and even picked and ate prickley nettles, which when loaded with butter and garlic were delicious.
